Hono
Lamp inspired by the light of a Japanese lantern
Designed for Luceplan - Milan, Italy 2024
Light and elegant, Hono, from the Japanese word "flame", evokes the warmth of a lantern animated by fire.
The new Hono floor lamp consists of a longline metal structure that includes a cylindrical base - with a diameter of 8 cm and a height of 20 cm - and a thin stem with a diameter of 8 mm. The structure houses an LED light source that distributes light in a 360° angle.
The more technical and rigorous body lamp is associated with an ethereal diffuser - 64 cm high - made of 100% cotton paper with a refined fabric effect, which further emphasizes the slender figure of Hono.
This element, in addition to emphasizing the slender silhouette of the lamp, serves another purpose: not to weigh down the entire structure, thus ensuring its stability.
The diffuser takes on the geometry of the base, maintaining the same diameter; the light that passes through it instead changes its perception, revealing its dense texture.
A high-quality material that, with its delicate diffusing power, gives environments a relaxing and immersive atmosphere.
The metal base - which in the case of the Hono ceiling light serves as a rosette - has a diameter of 5 cm and a height of 10 cm; the diffuser maintains the same diameter as the base and is 64 cm high in the ceiling version, 40 cm in the table variant.
